Your support should not stop when treatment does

Stopping GLP-1: prepare for what’s next

Whether you are considering a change or have already stopped, you deserve a clear next step and ongoing support.

Start with your prescriber

Do not use Lumina to decide when to stop, taper, change or restart medication. Agree a medicine-specific plan with the professional prescribing it. This matters especially if your medicine also treats diabetes or another health condition.

Already stopped without a plan? Contact your prescriber or pharmacist for advice. Do not restart a previous dose on your own.

If you feel seriously unwell, use Safety & warning signs and seek medical help; do not wait for a coaching reply.

Appetite

Plan for changing hunger

Medicines such as semaglutide reduce appetite. After a change in treatment, your hunger may feel different. Keep regular meals and make a note of what you notice so your coach or clinician can help you review portions.

Routine

Keep familiar support around you

Retain meals you enjoy, a manageable activity routine and space for rest. Do not try to make up for hunger or a higher reading by skipping food or adding punishing exercise.

Follow-up

Ask early, not only when you feel stuck

Agree who will review your health, when that review should happen and where to get help between appointments. Your coach supports everyday habits; your clinician handles treatment.
