Alongside your prescription

Lumina sits beside your healthcare team — not instead of them

If you have been prescribed a GLP-1 medicine (or you are preparing for life with one), Lumina helps with the everyday bits the pen does not cover: what to eat when appetite drops, how to keep strength, and how to stay kind to yourself when life gets messy.

Lumina is for

  • Practical food structure when hunger is low or irregular
  • Strength and movement that respects energy and clinical limits you tell us about
  • Habit support, weekly check-ins, and human coaching for “what do I do next?”
  • Clear pointers to seek medical care when something is outside coaching

Lumina is not

  • A doctor, nurse, pharmacist, or dietitian consultation
  • Advice on starting, stopping, skipping, or changing your dose or brand of medicine
  • Emergency care, diagnosis, or treatment of illness
  • A promise of a specific weight result, “Ozempic face” prevention, or hair outcomes
  • A replacement for the care plan agreed with your prescriber or GP

Coaching beside your clinicians — never instead of them.

Important safety information

Do not ignore these warning signs

This app cannot assess how unwell you are. If you are unsure, contact NHS 111. For a life-threatening emergency, call 999.

Ask a coach

For plan friction, motivation, meal swaps, or training confidence.

Contact your prescriber, GP or NHS 111

For persistent symptoms, rapid unexplained change, medicine questions, or anything that feels medically urgent.

Do not wait for a coach reply

When you need medical help, seek it now. A coaching message is not an urgent service.

Get urgent medical help

Severe, persistent stomach pain—especially if it spreads to your back—with or without nausea or vomiting may be a sign of pancreatitis.

Seek urgent medical attention now through NHS 111 or A&E. Do not try to manage severe or persistent symptoms using food changes alone.

999

Call 999 now

For swelling of the tongue or throat, difficulty breathing, or another life-threatening emergency.

111

Ask for prompt advice

If you cannot keep fluids down, vomit more than three times a day, have dark urine, feel lightheaded or symptoms are worsening.

👁

Report visual changes urgently

Seek urgent medical advice for sudden loss of vision or rapid worsening of eyesight, particularly if you take semaglutide.

Follow your diabetes care plan

If you use insulin or medicines that can lower blood sugar, follow your agreed plan for recognising and treating a hypo.

+

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

GLP‑1 medicines should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. If you are pregnant, think you may be pregnant, are planning pregnancy or are breastfeeding, contact your prescriber straight away. Do not change treatment without medical advice.

OP

Before surgery or sedation

Tell your surgical and anaesthetic team that you take a GLP‑1 medicine before any operation or procedure involving sedation. Do not stop it unless your clinician tells you to.

Personal support matters

Ask a registered dietitian or your clinical team for individual advice, particularly with kidney disease, frailty, food allergies or a history of disordered eating.

How we use your answers

We use your answers to personalise meals, movement and coaching prompts. We do not use them to prescribe medicine or to score you. If you flag allergies, clearance needs, or serious medical context, Lumina may limit automated suggestions and ask you to follow clinician advice first.
